The personal data we process
We process your personal data because you use our services and because you provide that data to us yourself.
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Address details
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Sizes and fit preferences
- Payment details, insofar as these are needed to process a payment or a security hold
- The outcome and date of an identity check, where one is required for a booking
- Your bookings, orders, credit balance and service appointments
- Correspondence with us
- IP address, browser and device type
- Your activity on our website
- Any other personal data you actively provide, for example by creating an account or writing to us
We do not receive or store your full card number or bank account number. Payments and security holds are handled by our payment provider.
Data concerning minors
Our website and services are not intended to collect data about visitors under the age of 16, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. We cannot check a visitor’s age.
If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without that permission, write to contact@thecollectives.amsterdam and we will delete it.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Where we rely on a legitimate interest, you may object at any time.
We will update this statement before we introduce any form of marketing tracking, such as retargeting or advertising cookies, and we will ask for your consent before placing the cookies such tracking requires.
Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions with significant consequences for individuals on the basis of automated processing without human involvement.
How long we keep personal data
We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Sharing personal data with others
We share personal data with others only where this is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or where you have given us permission.
We work with the following processors, each of which processes personal data on our instructions and under a processing agreement:
- Our website and shop environment, including hosting
- Our payment provider, for payments, refunds and security holds
- Our carriers, for delivery and returns
- Our inventory and member administration
- Our customer relationship system
- Our email and newsletter provider
- Our styling tools, insofar as these use your sizes and preferences to make recommendations
We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
We use functional cookies, which are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your convenience, and analytical cookies that we have configured so that they do not intrude on your privacy.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this statement and ask for your consent before placing such cookies.
You can refuse cookies by setting your browser so that it no longer stores them, and you can delete information already stored through your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can do much of this yourself through My Account.
You also have the right to withdraw any consent you have given, to object to the processing of your personal data, and to request that we transfer your data to you or to another organisation you name.
Write to contact@thecollectives.amsterdam with a specific request. To make sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to confirm it from the email address registered to your account, or to answer a question about your account. We will never ask you to send us a copy of your identity document.
We respond as quickly as possible, and in any event within four weeks.
You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
How we protect personal data
We take the protection of your data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
