About The Collectives
The Collectives is an Amsterdam-based curated wardrobe platform founded by fashion curator Aarti O’ Varma.
The concept started in 2019 as a physical showroom built around Aarti’s personal collection of designer, vintage and pre-owned pieces. What began as a small showroom has evolved into a platform offering women a different way to access fashion: through rental, purchase, personal styling and sourcing.
The Collectives brings together designer, pre-owned, vintage and selected contemporary pieces, allowing members to access the right pieces for different moments without relying on constant newness or ownership.
Members can rent pieces for six, fourteen or thirty days, purchase selected items, or access additional services including Closet Detox, Personal Shopping and Personal Styling. The platform combines digital access with a physical showroom in Amsterdam, where members can try pieces and receive personal guidance.
The Collectives officially launches its digital platform on 1 September 2026 during Amsterdam Fashion Week.

Founder
Aarti O’ Varma is a fashion curator, stylist and founder of The Collectives. She has more than fifteen years of experience in luxury fashion, wardrobe curation and personal styling, and has worked with leading fashion retailers including De Bijenkorf and ByLotte. She currently collaborates with Pauw.
