The Collectives welcomes Lou Lilly to its Amsterdam showroom, marking a natural next step in how we think about building a wardrobe. In recent seasons, The Collectives has explored circular fashion, craftsmanship and innovation through a series of presentations and collaborations. With Lou Lilly, the focus shifts closer to the wardrobe itself and to the women who wear it.

The two brands start from the same idea: you do not need more clothes, you need the right ones. Lou Lilly creates the foundation with considered essentials designed to support and move with the body, while The Collectives builds on that foundation with a changing selection of designer, pre owned and vintage pieces. Together, they offer a more thoughtful way of approaching what you wear, from the pieces underneath to the ones you choose to be seen in.

Lou Lilly is a contemporary essentials label built around the idea that comfort and confidence should go hand in hand. Its collection brings together supportive silhouettes, corrective underwear, shapewear and elevated everyday essentials, all designed to move effortlessly through the day. Inspired by the balance between strength and softness, the pieces are made to become part of a wardrobe rather than compete with it.

The collaboration also came from something we were hearing more and more in the showroom. Members were looking for underwear and shapewear that actually worked underneath the clothes they were choosing, as well as well considered basics to build the rest of their wardrobe around. These are often the less visible parts of getting dressed, but they make a real difference to how a piece looks, feels and ultimately gets worn.
